Hi all , this one is baffling me . Very very similar and Found a few examples on the www attributed to the great Gunnel Nyman of Finland . Not one of her colours though . Its very heavy for its size , polished flat base , unsigned , dark cobalt blue colourway and 28cm h x 8w .Any help greatly appreciated , cheers Gary

Another pic with light behind vase

Possibly related to these two, when trying to research them I found nothing conclusive. Each has a polished pontil mark.
For what it is worth I ruled out Leerdam - the bubble arrangement is not precise enough and is not formed in quite the same way.

Kastrup and Magnor might be worth a look......I haven't got my books with me but can have a look next week when I get home......assuming you haven't solved these by then!
-
Thanks all for your replies , getting very close i think .Maybe also Sven Palmquist Kraka for Orrefors ?
-
Still unidentified , any help appreciated .
-
Magnor is a good shout for yours Gary, it can take a while to positively identify some items.
-
Absolutely not Kraka. Sorry.
This is what Kraka looks like. It's a smokier blue than your vase with yellow at the base, the bubbles are much smaller and in a fine, curved veil and the glass is not as thick as your piece.

Gary, could you post a picture of the bottom half of the vase taken straight on to show the transition between blue and clear layers more clearly. Thanks Cat

Hello
My first idea was Magnor as well, but in the end I‘m more no....no Magnor
Magnolia is more controlled and lighter in shape and rim, but maybe your foto has not given all the Beauty .

Sorry, no really idea who is the maker. I think Scandinavian is a god idea, but on the other hand this type was produced from a lot of different makers.

Wow , very grateful again for all your help . A few more better pics with light behind . Back home in Nz now . Happy to say all my 9 pieces of glass made it here in one piece too

A couple more , apologies for sideways pics

Think I might have solved the puzzle - providing this seller in Finland knows his or hers stuff

I think you could be right. Labelled example here, although a different shape to yours it does show that there are no bubbles extending into the clear layer, which was the characteristic of yours I was having trouble matching. Useful reminder to check this company for unidentified possible Scandinavian pieces, as I had forgotten all about them! Might have solved John's too.

Hopefully you'll be able to find a labelled example of yours, just to finish it off.

I have my doubts - much larger bubbles...
-
Lol......John beat me to it. I have been looking at more labelled examples, and noticed that there are more pulled bubbles in the top half of them.

Remains unidentified so any further help much appreciated . Still hoping it’s a Gunnel Nyman piece ... haha
