Title: Vase with Cube Base with Circle Bumps
Post by: maxwellmodern on January 25, 2020, 02:43:14 AM
Hoping someone knows something about this little mystery vase of mine (see photo). It's about 6" tall with no mark. It's all one piece with the base being a solid cube with little circle bumps that look very similar to those seen on the Grapponia vase by Nanny Still. Overall the form and decorations look very Finnish to me. What do you guys think?

Welcome to the message board maxwellmodern.

Sorry I don't have time to check but I think it was designed by Bertil Vallien, if so it will have been made by Afors or maybe Boda.

Thank you so much John! Are you leaning towards Vallien more than the other 2?

Vallein designed for both Afors and Boda.
See if you can find it under a search for either.  :)

There are a lot of images for these if you search for Vallein candle holder.
