Title: Help to ID Opalescent Lacy Glass Vase
Post by: mhgcgolfclub on February 11, 2020, 06:37:38 PM
Help please to ID this opalescent lacy glass vase.
My first thought was most likely French or Belgium, but not so sure after a second look. I am thinking a possibility of it being American Boston Sandwich.

A first look you would think pressed glass which is probably is, but on the base there seems to be a sharp snapped pontil could it have been blown into a mold.

Height 5.5" and weighs just over 300gm

Thanks Roy

Roy I suspect it's been held on a punty to flare the rim. My instinct is that it's quite early

Thanks Christine

That would make sense about the pontil mark.

Thanks Roy

flying a kite probably, but any chance it has something to do with milk glass?
