I am baffled by this piece; it's 70 mm tall - which is as far as I am prepared to go . . . . What caused such a thing to exist?
-
:) "What caused such a thing to exist?"
Possibly something along the same lines as 4 stationary blind folk trying to describe an elephant by feel, passing on instructions?
Bormioli Rocco is still going. You could try asking them?

This is one of their range of items based on their Quattro Stagioni (Four Seasons) range of storage jars - it seems some folks like drinking out of items that look like jam jars for some odd reason! ::)
PS I bought a set of the storage jars way back in the late 1970's/early 80s which I still use for making pickles, not for drinking from. ;D

Folk like drinking from things that look like a Sith overlord?
This thread is cracking me up. ;D
Sorry. :-[
-
Jam jars I meant Sue! ;D ;D ;D
-
You've corrected the typo. :'(
It was a good one, I did enjoy it, thank-you! :-*

Well, thank you both very much, Bormioli Rocco is clearly something special; this must be the punk rock of Italian Art Glass; I think I can be forgiven a moments confusion coming on such an artefact in Cumbria!
-
It is a quality maker. ;D
Punk was not without it's own peculiar qualities, but I doubt I could manage an effective "dead fly" any more. :'(
-
;D Geoff, tell me where in Cumbria you found such a thing please. I'm in the south of the county myself. 8)

I need to apologise for the thing I said about elephants earlier - I should have said blind-folded folk.
It was something that cropped up when I was still at school, to show us how words can be inadequate to describesomething, especially of you do not have access to all the information.
But the words used, at the time, were both sexist and able-ist.
I did remember to change the sexist word, but not the able-ist one. Very sorry. :-[
