this is a large uranium paperweight from a very high end collection i recently bought - could this be venini?

hi there!

All bottoms are clear cut polished. Please note all 3 were purchased in France and the satin one has a retail sticker from a shop in Orléans.

As with the other "floating canes" example, I think Murano is right but could have been made in China and "finished in Murano", but not by a famous name.

Found it!

I have found the same one eventually with a paper label for Gino Cenedese! The jury is still out whether or not it is a design by Da Ros! Thank you all for your help!

I accept that my thoughts on the two "floating canes" weights are apparently incorrect - Sophie's response for one of the these gives Frateli Toso as an ID, and here there is a likely ID of Cenedese (and I accept that a similar green hue is known in many Cenedese "aquarium" blocks - if only for the seaweed.)

Is the Cenedese one you found on the internet? If so could you please provide a link.

Thanks for the link - which works ok.

I have tried to find other examples with a label but so far no luck. I did however find a similar label within a dealer site. That other label has straight sides, not "scalloped" [oor "perforated"] and the dealer states that the scalloped one is older (pre-1972 -  I think) and the straight-sided one is still in current use (maybe).

Unfortunately I have misplaced my research result details so will have to look again.
