Dear all,
I have another challenge for you ;)
Covid-19 may be good for sorting out some of my mystery pieces.
Please find attached pics of a solid glass mask (almost in lost wax technique) in a custom made metal frame.
My instinct says scandinavian but im comming up empty with most glass studios im thinking of (or I may be barking up the wrong tree)
Im guessing here 1970s 1980s but it's odd a piece like this is fully unsigned even though just the mounting of it clearly took some work.
Height 38 cm
Height of the head itself 16cm
Could anyone steer me in the right direction?
thank you!

I'm no expert on Scandi glass, but I think this might be made by Erik Höglund at Kosta Boda?

Perfect!
One answer and bang on!
I found a very similar one thanks to your tip! chuffed with that! thank you so much! I've added the link to a very similar one I found based on your suggestion!

Sorry, not Erik Hoglund. Style is just not right for one thing, really does not have his artistry. I would expect them to be signed if from Boda. Pale imitations to my eye.
Hoglund designed for Boda. The merger of Afors, Boda and Kosta happened many years after he left Boda.

double checked and it is Boda by Erik Hoglund.
just found another link - everything matches - it s oddly enough not signed but I have found out Boda often just stickered its items

Yours is not the same as the two in the links. All my reservations still stand.
I used to have around forty pieces from Boda designed by Hoglund and still have five or six, every single one was signed.

Late last night I remembered they were not all signed, the small bowls with impressed designs were rarely signed. The cast sculptures and vases etc were signed.

Hello,
I have not seen the one you have with ears, can’t say if it is a Höglund. Maybe it is.
We have one face on metalstand here from an old relative and it has no sign (have not seen this faces signed on the glass).
Our has the original tag attached under, sometimes the stand has a marking under that only says Boda.
The tag says:
Boda Handsmide
Form: Erik Höglund
Back in the 60th the price was 113kr, about 10euro.
Ps. We have a lot of unsigned Höglund bowls, vases and plates here in Sweden and normally they are second gods.
Regards
Jonas
