Hi there
I was hoping that someone would be able to advise me whether this is a Dutch Glass vase by Leerdam...or perhaps something else. "9cm high
Many thanks
Norman

hi - regret I know less than nothing about Leerdam, so unable to help, but is there some particular aspect of your piece that suggests this Dutch maker?
I seem to recall that there was a good site on the internet - run by a couple of guys - that did have a lot of Leerdam material, but now forgotten details - have you searched any of the known Leerdam sites?

Hi Paul
I have no idea why it could be Dutch glass other than what i have seen on the Hoveland site...similar but no exact. Hence my query.
Thanks anyway and hope someone else my pop in.

hello Norman - just realized that it's your glass - you've not posted for quite some time - am I right in saying that? The shape of this one does have a 1940s look, or am I just rambling? :)

I've been trying to identify a jug I have with the same sort of vertical stripe effect which I think is Leerdam. The designer I've come across is A.D. Copier who worked for them in the early 1900's. The size of your vase confused me for a second until I realised you'd hit the " key instead of the 2.

Hi NevB
LOL ...you are quite right , should read 29cm high. Would be interesting to see your piece.

Hello Norman, this is one of the several uranium glass jugs I have. It's not quite the same as your vase but it does have vertical facets moulded into it. A lot of these type of jugs are attributed to Leerdam which is probably correct but I can't confirm it.

Hello Norman, you might like these other uranium glass jugs in my collection.

Hey Nev
Wow thats a great selection and where i am those would fly off the shelf....and a collection like that would be snapped up by one collector i have.

Thanks Norman, I've also got a couple of duplicates of the ones shown plus a couple, not uranium, by Holmegaard and Whitefriars. In total I've got over 200 uranium pieces plus lots of drinking glasses. I need to get out and buy some more!
