Title: Uranium glass trinket pot Mystery 145?
Post by: NevB on May 31, 2020, 04:10:31 PM
This pot which is missing its lid appears to be the same pattern as GTS Mystery 145. I'm not sure if it's part of the set as it has a diameter of 13cm. and trying it on the tray I have it looks too big.

I'd say yes it's a match for Mystery Set 145. I have the same pot at 13cm diameter likely of "powder bowl" capacity and 2 smaller pots at 10cm diameter. It's worth remembering the items were mainly distributed around the dressing table and not often upon the tray which could be used for the powder bowl alone to save powder going all over the dresser, or for hair brushes and combs etc. or both. This would protect the wood of the dresser and keep things tidy. The candlesticks would be strategically placed left and right to afford the most light, reflecting in the mirrors and kept at a safe distance from fire hazard particularly long hair!  :)

I have also seen this dish called a sugar bowl with a creamer of the same pattern.
