Title: Hermanova? uranium glass dishes.
Post by: NevB on May 31, 2020, 04:24:44 PM
I have here a 21cm. dish and two nappy dishes of 12 and 13cm. all with the same pattern. The nappy shown separately is the 13cm. one and appears to be a footed version of one, no. 18475, shown on page 9 of the pre 1958 Hermanova catalogue from Marcus Newhall's CD. I can't find the other two but think they too may be Hermanova.

Maybe, maybe not. That star base with the hole in the middle is quite distinctive (but star bases are pretty common without the hole), but I wouldn't like to say that catalogue pic has the hole and that dish appears to have 10 panels and not 12 like yours.

Thanks Christine, I've found that by enlarging the catalogue the bottom image appears to show that the lines don't go to the centre of the dish and that there is a circle there. Also if I align my dish with the image some of it's sides disappear from view and it actually matches  elsewhere. The handle and the size also match. I see Ankerglas Bernsdorf also use this daisy? design but I can't find any pieces like mine in their catalogue. As usual I reserve judgment on the maker but Hermanova seems a good bet.
