Title: Victorian Rummer
Post by: NevB on August 02, 2020, 07:18:30 PM
Here's another rummer added to the collection. It was made in a 3-part mould and is 165mm. tall and holds exactly a half pint. It's a bit different being quite plain with just a faceted stem, pity about a chip on the rim.

Yes Keith, in a local antiques arcade they have a cellar they call the "junk shop" and I often find them going cheap. They're not "junk" to me ;D.

I've just found two of these online, one with a Derbyshire Brothers anchor mark and the number 249 underneath. The seller dated them to 1873-76 but I haven't checked that.
