Title: white iridescent vase - Kralik?
Post by: createdbear on August 08, 2020, 05:11:04 PM
Good afternoon friends,
I've picked this rather attractive vase up. White with a pale iridescence. Cut round pontil on the base. I've seen the mottled-ish finish before but can't place a maker. Can any of you good people advise please? I can't get Kralik out of my head but I'm not sure...it doesn't quite have the Kralik look. As usual, if anyone can help, I will be very grateful. Thank you.

:) It's so annoying when you get the name you don't want stuck in your head!

There is talk about this sort of crackled iridesence in this thread here.
I don't think we're really terribly sure about it. It's been discussed before too.

Than you for your input Chopin. I've done a Google search and yes, there are a few examples with the very same texture/finish by Poschinger As usual though, MINE isn't there hehe! Thanks again, much appreciated.

This is listed as a Poschinger 'onion skin'.
Is it the same shape as yours although red?

Thank you Flying Free. It is the same...I love the colour of the one in your pic. I think we can definitely attribute it to Poschinger.

Sorry I didn't give a full link for that one and I don't know if it was marked.

And all  thanks due to Chopin :)   (and to Greg in her link to the other thread) .
Poschinger would never have occurred to me  :(.  I only did a quick shape search because it had been mentioned and so happened upon that red one.
