This was sold to me a while ago as being by Powell/Whitefriars and I searched at the time and couldn't find anything in the catalogues. I thought it might be possibly be Webb or Murano? and now I have hopes it might be designed by Keith Murray for Stevens and Williams. Can anyone confirm or dismiss this? You may be able to see from the photo it has a lot of wear on the base and a slightly wonky ground pontil but no mark/signature.

Have an amber one that I've always thought was a Webb piece, the shape of yours is similar to a Webb bullseye bowl I have.
-
Thanks Keith, I would say definitely they are the same vase and yours is more of a Webb colour. If your bullseye vase is exactly the same shape then I'd say they are Webb but you never know. I think the Keith Murray connection was just wishful thinking.

Both vases look to be the same design - if it were Webb, would these be Gayglass, given the uranium?
I can't see this exact shape in the catalogue pics in Hadjamach, but the colour of Nev's would be Spring green. And it looks right for that. (it is a very slightly teal green ;) )
Evergreen is the deep shade.
Christine has this bullseye bowl, a similar shape, but a lot shorter and footed.

and this vase, also footed.

But I do not know if Gayglass ever had controlled bubbles in. They did make some bits that were not all "to catalogue designs" though.
:) ??? :)

Thanks Sue, I've just had a quick look and can't find much, if any, bubble glass that can definitely attributed to Webb. I think I'll call my one "mint green" just to confuse things ;D.

That's fine by me.
Just don't go spearmint :-X ;)

I've had another search and I can't find anything similar that would link them to Webb. Their "Gay Glass" range doesn't appear to include any bubble glass. I don't think the Keith Murray option can be ruled out as apparently he designed lots of pieces for Stevens and Williams but I haven't yet been able to match this one.
