Title: Boxed Set of 4 Pin Trays/Dishes with Label Made in Czechoslovakia.
Post by: Jayne on August 11, 2020, 12:20:41 PM
These pin dish/pin tray sets appear now and again but do we know which Czech factory made them? I found this boxed set in a charity shop recently, one dish each in Amber Blue Pink and Green (not uranium) and a label with "Made in Czechoslovakia" on one.

They measure 8cm diameter x 2cm high.

You do realise they are most probably cocktail ashtrays LOL...

They also made them for bridge players depicting the four card suits.

I did wonder if they were ashtrays Christine ;D

Yes I've seen those NevB, also thistles, angel fish, fruit and shamrocks.  :)

Thanks NevB, the same pin dishes shown in a different box in your link are stated as "A stunning boxed set of four 1950's Czech glass dishes. Made by the Jablonecké Sklárny glassworks, and probably designed by Václav Hanuš"

A link within that page leads back to another thread on this board from 2010 with more boxed pin dish sets:
