Title: Smoked Glass Candle Stand ID
Post by: Roobarb on August 21, 2020, 02:19:22 PM
Hello, this piece is really heavy, about 30cm tall and has space for both a taper candle and pillar on the top and bottom. It may well be from a modern store recently but it's weight made me wonder. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

The colour is  quite Scandinavian and iirc they were/are also fond of dual purpose pillar and taper candle items.  I've noticed over the years that candle holders seemed to me to be quite a big thing from the Scandinavian makers in the 70s ish.
Friedrich Kristall also did a smoke grey glass.

It's a bit 'traditional' in design to be something vintage 70s though.  hmm.  Have you checked out Ikea as well just in case?
