Hi All, I have got this paperweight from a charity shop, but the bottom stick was almost all gone (no letters to read).
Here is the photo.
Thanks,
Peter

Hi Peter...your weight is from Murano.

Thanks Bryan, any ideas how old is it? How much does it worth? What is the maker (potential)? The lobster used gold stuff.
Cheers,
Peter

Part of the Zodiac range so not a lobster I'm afraid ;D ;D can't help with the price, have one of the others somewhere.

Keith, it's got a tail, definitely a lobster not a crab ;D.
-
Does look like a lobster, not sure if there's a zodiac sign of the lobster ::) ;D ;D here's mine... ;D ;D

This is definitely one of the twelve birth sign weights made by Ferro and Lazarini around 1977 and illustrated in the book "Paperweights" by Sybil Jargstorf.
I have seen the same transfers used in several other designs other designs eg using a Tile effect, set on a plain base with no millifiore garland
Hope this helps

Many thanks to everyone who has solved this issue for me. I can see what this weight is now. Cheers, Peter
