Hello!
First time poster here. I purchased some Stuart Crystal about 20 years ago and recently have been trying to identify the pattern. Based on the stamp, I believe it is Stuart and the pattern is very similar to the Beaconsfield pattern, but with some differences. Instead of the diamond pattern below the floral garland, it just has "slashes" and there is a small leaf garland around the base. The shape of the goblet also curves out instead of the typical straight glasses I've seen online.
My questions are - is this likely a Stuart Beaconsfield variation? Anyway to identify the age? Also, would love to know what these glasses are intended for. The taller one is 6 inches tall and the short one is 3 5/8 inches (I think that one is probably a champagne glass). I have 10 of the tall ones and 8 of the short.
Oddly enough I bought them at separate times, although both purchased in Frederick, Maryland.
Thanks for any guidance! I'm a newbie here so I apologize if I am asking obvious questions.

Have you searched replacements.com yet?
I found two Beaconsfield patterns there, both with the diamons, but the glasses are a different shape. Yours could be a variation based on what fits onto the shape of the glass bowl better, but I'm not really sure.
The mark looks right, the quality looks right. :)

Thank you! Yes, I looked on replacements.com, but the 2 patterns are a little different than the one that I have.
That's good to know that they look like they are Stuart. I will keep researching!

;D They are older pieces and we're not sure how accurate they were at sticking to designs that time - there are not too many examples out there to study, to find out.
I did, a while ago, have hold of a Hardwicke goblet, a stunning thing and top quality, a similar shape to your two.
I have no doubt you have Stuart glasses there, probably a Beaconsfield variation. We just cannot be absolutely, 100%, proof-positive and sure of the pattern name.
They are older work and quite scarce.
I bet they're wonderful to use. The Hardwicke was a wonderful thing to hold. It fitted the hand nicely and comfortably, it was well balanced. ;D

Yes, these pieces are wonderful - they feel great to hold and are so delicate yet strong at the same time. I feel very fancy when I use them and the shape is lovely.

I think it is fairly safe to assume a variation. :)
We just cannot be 100% positive and certain. Perhaps 99.9999%. ;D
As much as anything, the quality is there, and you do say they are lovely and elegant to use. That takes a skilled maker.
These older glasses do tend to be even better quality than newer, because of cutting back on workloads to save money.
Although over the years, recipes for making the glass have improved, it is easier to work and to cut now, than it was then.
