This is a little 8.5cm. pink and opaline dish with a uranium glass scalloped rim and a ground pontil. After a quick search I can't find anything with a scalloped rim, dare I say it's a Stourbridge piece?

A rose bowl?
We need Lustrousstone. :)
-
Yes we do, but I think it might be a bit small for a rose bowl :)
-
:-\ You can get little roses, nowadays...
It's a little big and an odd shape for a salt. :)
-
Thanks Sue, I'm not sure what its purpose is, possibly it's just a trinket dish for a dressing table.
-
Just a suggestion but maybe worth checking out Fenton as they made some similar pieces.
-
Thanks thewingedsphinx, I've had a look and the shape is reminiscent of Fenton and earlier I found a bowl with the same decoration for sale in America, but I can't find it now, so it's a possibility.
-
It's a rose bowl. Not Fenton though
-
I stand corrected Sue(M) it's a rose bowl :). Just had another look and can't find anything similar.
-
I did go to Christine's "My Gallery" and searched under Fenton, but it was all pressed.
Have you seen it?
The link is in the signature. :)
-
No I haven't seen it but I'll take a look, thanks.

The best place to start would be to click on "Albums". It's all really well organised with a great search facility and is a fabulous resource. You're both into Uranium glass. You'll enjoy yourself. ;D
