Hello All, this is a strange and unique uranium glass (quite small). I cannot find out what it is called, what it is used for, and who made it.
-
Any ideas, please add here. It has smoothed polished base, and faceted sides. Is it a tiny vase? More like a shot glass to me.

The style of the cut reminded me of this (different type of glass but a set of shot glasses with decanter):

So I wonder if it is a shot glass missing it's set and decanter? I don't know if Zelezny Brod did uranium glass or if Rudolf Hlousek may be the designer though. A bit of detective work might be needed to see if there are any old catalogues with a set in?

I don't think it would be very easy to drink out of whichever way you held it. I think it's possibly a toothpick holder and would make a sort of fan effect when full.

Dear All,
Many thanks for your suggestion and hints, and I find something on Etsy:
https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/875723031/aquamarine-uranium-glass-by-moser?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=moser+decanter&ref=sr_gallery-1-18&organic_search_click=1&frs=1
https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/870324600/karl-palda-jewel-cut-crystal-decanter?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=moser+decanter&ref=sr_gallery-1-36&organic_search_click=1&favorite_listing_id=870324600

Now I knew they are shot glass, and I need to find the matching decanter (Collectible Art Deco liquor set containing decanter and six matching glasses probably made by MOSER in Karlove Vary – Czechoslovakia c. 1930's).
All the best!

Here is another example from Ebay:

This is a match to your glass isn't it?
I don't know how they know it's Palda though.
https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/870324600/karl-palda-jewel-cut-crystal-decanter?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=moser+decanter&ref=sr_gallery-1-36&organic_search_click=1&favorite_listing_id=870324600
And the last one you posted does not say it is marked unfortunately. So it may not be Moser?

I got it wrong (again) but I still wouldn't like to try and drink out of it ;D

;D I had
a box correction as have now found link - I had an ashtray in neodymium lilac years ago and when I saw the glass it reminded me of that cut in a similar way. In the end it was id'd as Desna. However looking at the pics again I don't think the cut design is the same as this shot glass. But Desna might be worth investigating?
