Hello All - I'm new to this so forgive me if this posts twice (I'm having a little difficulty!) I enjoy mid century, 1970's and quirky glass. I wonder if anybody is able to help me with any information on the attached two vases in the form of female torsos. I suspect they may be modern but I haven't been able to find anything exactly like them online - only something similar and a bit less crude that people have decided is Murano. However, I have no illusions on this - I bought them cheaply with a view to putting lights inside them. Between the two, the shape is not exactly the same and the spatter one is slightly taller. Any information would be appreciated.

I'm pretty sure these are contemporary Chinese glass. You will probably find similar on the alibaba site that sells it.
So, you haven't got treasure, but you didn't really suspect you had. ;D
You do have a couple of quirky vases you like and that's all that matters. :)
If you want to light them from inside, I have been told that you can get battery operated strings of fairy lights from supermarkets which you can put inside a vase with a small top like these, and they'll light the whole body up, not just a spot.
I've seen it in operation, but only from the outside. It looked good. (in a very tall, orange piece)

It is much better than having just one bright spot inside. ;D
Every piece of glass is unique in itself. It is what it is, no matter where or when it was made and enjoying it is absolutely the best thing to do with it. 8)
