Title: signed paperweight. ID = Mtarfa
Post by: Angiebing12 on November 08, 2020, 07:14:45 PM
Hi all,
I m new to forum so hope I m not making any mistakes regarding posting.

I have a paperweight and has a signature but all I can make is it begins with B. It does have really bright intense colours compared with some of my other paperweights but the bubbles  inside seem bit haphazard.
if anyone can help that would be great,
thanks

Hi and welcome.  :)
This mark doesn't look anything like it reads, which is Mtarfa.
You need to know what Mtarfa glass looks like and what the mark looks like, first.
I'd never be able to read it in a month of blue moons.  ;)

The signature would be a bit easier to decipher if the second photo was turned through 180 degrees.
Then the start would have looping up and down lines for the "Mt" followed by a squiggly "ar" and finishing with a tall "f" and a small squiggle for the "a".
