Title: Genuine Saint Louis mark?
Post by: Gangsta1 on December 10, 2020, 08:08:24 PM
I recently purchased a set of Saint Louis Tommy glasses. Some were classed as seconds although they all have the same stamp under the glass that says “Cristal France 24 pbo” instead of the usual “Cristal France St. Louis”. I’m worried this may mean they are not genuine although it could be due to them being seconds? Maybe this alternative mark was used at some point? The glasses look and feel the real deal but concerned regarding this identification mark. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There is a percentage sign after the 24 so it seems to be 24% PbO which I assume is the French mark for 24% Lead Oxide crystal glass, I can't help otherwise with the authenticity.
