Hi
Any help in identifying this vase will be greatly appreciated.
It looks similar to one I’ve seen online—same shape but different colour.
It’s cased with the bubbles inside—these can be felt.
Small bubbles throughout.
Its colour is a gold/amber —I think :o
Ht 25cm ( 10” )
Wt 1490gm
Sorry for the quality of the photos —found it really difficult..........
Many thanks for looking

Meant to send this link :)

Yours does look like the one in the link, I believe they are usually signed so I'm not sure, see what others have to say, this is mine...
-
Never seen one signed before as it happens! Scott's matches colour shape and size to the example in the link, which is signed. Slam dunk...

I must have bought this one at least 3-4 years ago ( in a charity shop of course) — I was into Clutha at the time,
anyway when I got it home it looked more like something you’d perhaps find in say a department store( no offence intended)
so I put it in the garage and promptly forgot about it
It was only yesterday after seeing some of Keith Murray’s designs ( in C H’s 20th century Glass Book) that I thought I’d better have a second look —fortunately after some rummaging I found it.
You know, I really like it now ;D
Yes, pity it isn’t signed.
If you hold it up to the light it really does look like silver rain :o
Thanks
Scott

I have found two recently both i believe to be by Keith Murray. Neither is signed. One has a high UV glow.

Nice finds—just as well he didn’t sign them all, or they would’ve have all gone by now.......... :)

The base is quite hard to see. Does it have a polished pontil mark?
-
Hi,
It has got a polished pontil mark, it’s quite shallow and has what look like circular marks —a nightmare to
photograph at an angle.
I’ve been a bit suspicious of it from the outset— there isn’t a scratch on it and that applies to its base as well.
After having said that, you can see that its rim and upper neck have been finished by hand.
It’s also 25cm high whereas the one in the link is 26cm—however I’ve also seen one online at 27cm—all having
the same baluster shape.
Are you thinking that it could be a fake. If it is, no sweat, it’ll go back into the garage ;D

no, it seems to match the linked signed version exactly.
I just couldn't see the pontil mark on the linked version and am not sure what I can see on your pics. Is it the small inner circle that's the pontil mark? Or is the pontil mark actually large and nearly covering the entire base of the foot ?
-
It’s the small inner circle.

Perhaps a better photo—now that it’s a bit brighter here :)
