Title: Identify 3 types of Candlesticks
Post by: ferglass on March 05, 2021, 02:40:22 PM
Hi guys, new here to this forum. I've got 3 different types of candlesticks I need help identifying. I've looked online but can't seem to work out where any of these are from. The single (green with ball) looks quite Scandi perhaps - it has no markings. The blue swirl pair look hand blown (as vary in widths) and the green/pink swirl pair I believe are from early 20th cent. Any help would be really appreciated, thanks!

Welcome to the message board.

Your tall pink and green sticks look very much like the colours used by Franz Welz, if so perhaps 1890 or 1900 in date.
Example of the colours here: http://www.kralik-glass.com/welz-images/trilobedheart/wtlh15.jpg

We try to keep it to one item request per topic so that things don't get mixed up. If you could start a new topic for the green stick and another for the blue and white pair that would be great.

John

Hi John, thanks the help here - agree the green/pink candlesticks do look like Franz Welz. Appreciate the help and I'll post the other two types on separate threads now. Apologies for novice first entry! Thanks

You are welcome and no need to apologise, there is a lot to learn when first posting here. It can be a steep learning curve especially with getting photos organised.
