Title: Rough Glass Vase ID
Post by: djkglass on March 18, 2021, 11:54:42 AM
Any ideas on this one? Has a really rough exterior, smooth interior, approx 18cms tall.

Thanks in advance.

Just a suggestion, it looks possibly to have been made using a scavo technique, similar to that of Murano Seguso Cenedese.

Could be Lafiore, does not strike me as typical for Murano scavo, they seem to tend towards a single colour or at most handles in a second colour.

I was veering rather Lafiore myself. :)

Thanks for the suggestions, doing some more research i think Lafiore is right. I've found a vase with identical colours, same orange/red flecking on the inside, same broken pontil mark on the base. Looks like mine has just lost the label!
