Title: Jules Lang 1940's Trinket Set Advert
Post by: LinzC on March 21, 2021, 12:07:42 PM
This is from the Pottery Gazette directory for 1940.  I wasn't able to spot it in the mysteries, but my eye-sight isn't great so I may have missed it.

( Thank you Anne, for changing my initial  :) )

https://www.glasstrinketsets.com/cms3/german/brockwitz/3700#   The pots remind me of this Brockwitz set, but I don'tknow if there is a connection.

A brilliant find LinzC well done!  8)

I can see the similarities to the Brockwitz 3700 pots NevB but I believe the Brockwitz pot finials are flat whereas the ones in the Jules Lang (Importer) advert seem full and match Mystery Trinket Set #85 pots;

I've seen a pic of the exact set in the Advert in blue including Mystery Set 85 pots, all the other pieces are different to 85.

NB I have photographic records of at least 8 sets of set 85 in all colours, so no question that Mystery Set 85 is a true set.

Additionally the candlesticks and ring stand in Mystery Set 85 are also part of Mystery Set #79 which in my set has a Czechoslovakia stamp on the tray as seen in this thread, post 6.
