Title: Honeycomb? quilted? diamond pattern? Help with drinking glass bowl pattern.
Post by: david31162 on April 09, 2021, 01:15:51 PM
Hello,
I'd love to know the pattern or method used to make these  (blown into mould I'm guessing). I'm also guessing they are in a broad range from 1880 to 1920 based on stem. I'm an enthusiastic user and collector but my guesses above may betray my ignorance of stem ware of this period. I'm just checking to see if I can put these to use safely. I tend to check all my new glasses to see if they are too good for family circulation. Over £50 to replace and they tend to say in a cupboard- other than occasional use by myself.
The glass is 18cm tall, 9.3 at top and 9cm at foot.
Any info on type, age, description of bowl would be very welcome. No news will be bad news as if common modern repro I certainly like them enough to use them.
Many thanks,  David
