Title: Mottled Glass Dish - Mackintosh Falkirk Sticker ID Help. ID = Alistair Macintosh
Post by: Roobarb on April 28, 2021, 06:13:03 PM
Hello, I wondered if anyone could shed light on this piece. There is a sticker on the base which reads Mackintosh Falkirk, but I've found nothing researching this. It has a green tint and is overall transparent apart from the white mottling. Thank you :)

I was wondering why it had a vaguely Monarty look. ::)
Well spotted Nev.  :)
Alastair is a very well known artist. Worked at Caithness for a good while, and created several of their important designs. An expert in reticello, which I was priveliged to watch at the Edinburgh Conference. Some more info about him here.
