Title: Unknown studio glass globe vase, possibly British, made 1995
Post by: chilternhills on May 03, 2021, 07:04:31 PM
Any suggestions for the maker of this vase? It was bought in the UK, so may be British. I can't make out the signature. The date seems to be December 1995. The vase is 16 cm high. Thanks.

Looking at the pontil mark it reminded me of the Biot ones where they use a blow pipe as a pontil rod leaving the ring with a smooth centre. I found this which might point in the right direction.

Thank you. The signature is very hard to read. I can make out 'Gu...' and it has that distinctive starting G of Guyot's signature.

Biot and Pascal Guyot it is then.

I agree.
My brother has lamps by this artist. Bought several years ago, directly from the studio in France.
