I am not sure if this set of two vanity bottles is white glass, opal glass, milk glass or something else entirely. They are relatively heavy (not delicate like porcelain) and each has the same marking on the bottom plus a number. The necks of the bottles are threaded so the tops screw on. The taller bottle is 6" with three illustrations and the smaller bottle is 3 1/2" with five illustrations. The illustrations are of couples dressed in clothing from various eras. I can't remember when or where I acquired these two bottles and I haven't seen anything similar in researching the Internet. Any information would be very much appreciated.

I recall seeing these as a kid circa early 70's. Inexpensive decorative ware . Probably wholesaled through distributors and possibly decorated elsewhere. Manufacturer hard to say. : Milk- Glass" very popular in the 1960s and 70s. Sold in catalogs and other venues similar to 'AVON", "FINGERHUT", etc.

Thank you for the information. Your belief that these two bottles are from the early 70s seems right as I've had them for a really long time. Would the term "milk glass" be the preferred description and do you think the illustrations are like an applied stencil? Although this is originally inexpensive decorative ware, is there any value when nothing like the items is still available? There was one additional photo I didn't upload before so I'm including it in this post.
