So, I acquired another salt. It's pressed glass with ground top and base, pretty barley twist type design. Measuring 61mm x 49mm at the top, 55mm x 40mm at the base and 37mm in height.
I didn't realise it had a very feint Rd No on the base until I cleaned it. I'm not convinced the third digit is a 9, but if it is, it would make it Schindler & Co (according to Jenny T.)
Just wondering what other peoples opinions are on it.

I would suspect it is Schindler & Co. When I was at the National Archives earlier this year, I happened to view a few of their registrations in passing, all from 1890
158804 - an ink with lid
158841 - small jar minus lid
158967 - another ink
All show the twisty pattern on your salt, though it is continuous and not broken up with clear sections.

How's this for an insane coincidence. I was looking through some ephemera newly acquired today, and here is your salt I very much suspect. This is from an 1890s H Samuel advertising booklet.

Wow. Thank you Neil. That is a crazy coincidence.
I'm off to TNA next week, so I could look this Rd No up whilst I'm there. :)
