Title: Berndt Flygrsfor Vase
Post by: deanie28 on May 20, 2021, 05:58:28 AM
I have a deep pink/purple/red vase made by Wiktor Berndt when he was working at Flygrsfor in the 1950s. It is about 28 cms tall and dated 1958. It looks similar to the one in the screenshot. Apparently my actual photo is too large for this site. Any idea of value? Thanking you in advance!

Look at past sales on auction sites and such like for comparisons for a value. That is not something we tend to discus much here, far too subjective and prone to fluctuation.

Your vase won't have been made by Berndt he was a designer, the factory employed glass blowers to make the various designs they produced.

Oh right, even if it is signed Berndt?

There would have been someone employed to do the engraving, one of the jobs in the cold shop (as opposed to the hot shop where the furnaces would be) others might be grinding and polishing. The bigger the glassworks the greater the division of labour, it is only in very small glass studios where few people would do everything.
