Title: hand painted ale glass

Hi

I know it is pretty impossible to identify this glass but I am more interested in its age. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Hi. There is a similar style of decoration ‘Santa Maria’ decanter on page 517 of McConnell’s The Decanter book. The annotation says ‘1950s. Santa Maria. Transfer/decal & hand painting. Czechoslovakia.’ The decoration is similar to these: http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,70461.0.html

As the Santa Maria was Columbus' flagship, could it be as late as 1992, a 500th anniversary commemorative?
