Title: Red / black mottled bubbly "studio" globe vase

I rarely buy glass I don't recognize, but found this little globe vase intriguing.
It looks vaguely Mdina-ish, particularly the shape, though colours and finish are certainly completely different.

Stands appr. 13 cm high and wide, and is quite lightweight at 300 g.
Rough snapped off pontil mark.

There is something familiar about it, but I cannot place it. Reminds me a little bit of pieces by John Orwar Lake (>> this one for instance (https://www.etsy.com/listing/605981431/john-orwar-lake-ekenas-glasbruk-pink-and)), but the base is wrong, and no signature anywhere.

So production from a small studio perhaps?

Any thoughts highly appreciated as usual! :)

I like the decor.

It has an Eisch or Karl Wiedmann Gralglas? or Cari Zalloni for WMF feel about it in the decor.  So maybe that era?
The other thought is maybe Randsfjordglas?

Phoenician Glass (Malta) was another that used the red and black and the shape of yours and the neck and rim remind me of some of theirs, but I think they're normally signed and I don't remember the base finish on mine. I've just checked and they seem to have a polished flat base.

 ::) I wondered about an MDG-ish feel, and also Norwegian, Randsfjord, but it isn't quite saying Benny Motzfeldt to me. The base finish is wrong for MDG - and the neck isn't quite right either - it looks familiar but I can't pin it down to anything either...  :'(

Yes if it were Randsfjordglas I was thinking it would be  later than BM. Maybe Torgersen or Hanna Hellum?

Ekenas, Randsfjordglas or Plus Glashytta pieces do have a similar "vibe", but the execution is not the same (at least that of pieces I have seen on the net).
Same for Mdina and other Maltese makers.
A big difference is the weight I guess -- mine is fairly lightweight, while all those pieces seem thickly cased and much more massive.

So studio glass seems more likely, funny that it isn't marked / signed then.
Still, the vase is very well made I think.
