Hi , not sure if this honey pot isn’t made in the last few years ?,anyone know much about these ?
-
seem to recall we had some chats a few years back on a very similar design - possibly even an identical shape - with the bee and all that. Am sure Lustrousstone has one in uranium - I've just tried the search and can't for the life of me now find the links - can't now remember the maker. Someone here will have the answer for you, hopefully. I think the originals are pre WW II.
-
This is Christine's, which is Leerdam.

Does your have the little "landing pad" at the front door?
-
thanks, yes that's the one I had in mind - a uranium example. I'd forgotten completely that it was Leerdam - I notice Christine hasn't given a date range for this one.
-
I seem to remember Christine might have got it from you, Paul. It's a stunning thing.
But the landing pad is something I seem to remember was important and might distinguish between one maker and another.
It's a bit hazy in my memory. Christine's brain might be functioning better than mine.
There is this one too, which is Vallerysthal.

yes, seem to recall that one did start with me - so you'd imagine I might have remembered, but age is responsible for so much. It would seem the landing pad is not always present.
-
Yes there is a tiny landing pad , to be honest I didn’t even see the door 😂.
-
Should just see it
-
Ahh I see, just had a look at the example and it’s not the same landing pad !more like a door mat!
-
I wonder if the IBC on the base might stand for International Bottle Company?
-
I think Anne right; it's also in bottle brown.
-
There’s a tiny bit on them here, they seem to have links with other European glass makers ? https://www.glassmessages.com/index.php?topic=22056.0
