Can anyone point me in the direction of the manufacturer of this decanter?.
For some reason i think it is Scandinavian, but after trawling through the net i can not find an answer.
Any help appreciated.

It's vaguely reminiscent of Hoglund's work isn't it? 'Inspired by' type thing.
Perhaps that's why it feels Scandinavian. The colour is quite intense and might help identify it in the end. It's quite a dark bluey grey, not a pale a I think of from the usual suspects.

sorry, not a clue, but Scandi does appear a good suggestion even if you haven't found it yet. Some idea of dimensions might be useful. :)

Nuutajärvi Notsjo used this dark grey colour but I couldn't find anything similar. That might be worth searching around as a name though.

I think Flying Free's suggestion re a Finnish makeria good. Have you trawled through www.designlasi.com which I find very useful.

Thanks for all your input, i have had a good look through the sites with no joy . I think 20th Century glass carry a picture of the decanter
but no manufacturers name.
There were so many small Swedish glass manufacturers in the past , maybe one of them?
The decanter is 175mm tall and 230mm with the stopper.
Nice polished pontil mark with the stopper number engraved.
It seems to have been blown into a two part mould with the seam running down the middle of the sides.

Honestly, before ahremck said anything my instinct was Finnish because they're very fond of the little raised bumps in many of their designs. It is a bit dark though but that's where I'd do my searching.

At long last i have found a maker for this decanter. It is Norwegian and appears in a 1963 Magnor catalogue.
Credit to the Mats linder scandinavian design website. An excellent resource.
