This piece has me confused for quite awhile, now. I am hoping someone can help me out, is this as special as it looks? Thanks in advance to anyone who will respond.

Hi - looks a lovely piece of glass, though coloured stuff not usually my thing. One of the issues here, with your pix, is the busy background that tends to confuse the details of your vase. If you are able to take some pix against a plain background, am sure that will help, plus some idea of size please. If the glass is difficult to photograph for whatever reason, then some short description of the base will help people here - is it ground/polished flat - does it have a shallow polished depression where the pontil scar would have been. In your most recent picture - mostly covered by your hand - it does look as though there is clear casing. Was there any description with this when you bought it? :)

Thank you so much for your responses, and I will certainly get it together better for your assessment. After I posted this I was reading more here on this board, and I should have read first! So sorry, it has been a very many years since I visited you wonderfully educated people with questions. I recognize alot of names and so I say "Hello" to some old friends who have taught me so much. Thanks again for the response and I will be back soon with better posts.

Welcome back Linda, it's lovely to see you back on the board - it has been a long time! I hope you're keeping well. I've seen a few of these vases but always in the USA so I'm suspecting a US maker. It might be worth asking on https://chataboutdg.com/ as they may recognise your vase. It's a super one!
