Post by: keith on August 29, 2021, 11:09:17 PM
Been trying to post this but had 'rogue cookies' problem, Anne told me, still not sure what that is so here's the S&W's decanter, 10 inches tall, fully marked, 1930s maybe ?

well done, very nice Keith.         I don't have Andy McConnell's revised Decanter book - might there be any S. & W. shown there??

Stevens and Williams is listed on 36 pages in the index of the 2nd edition of McConnell. Not read all the text but there is a similar shape Stevens and Williams one on page 373, Art Nouveau Decanters. That has fancy organic looking cutting though, green cut to clear, dated c1895. Out of interest, on the same page there is also a 1931-35 Amethyst-over-crystal Cameo Fleur decanter by Webb, also very similar in shape.

It's a very attractive shape, not one you see very often these days. :)
