Post by: Eds on September 13, 2021, 09:27:10 AM
Can someone help me.
Is this a Val St Lambert vase?
The vase is not signed.

Hi, that is a beautiful vase :)

It appears to be pink overlay cut to clear with a battuto cut in parts.

It's a strange combination as the battuto cut reminds me of Murano vases, however the pink cut and design remind me of Czech glass but not the base finish.  The base finish is similar to some Murano vases.

The nearest similar item I could find is this bowl however it says Czech in the title but then German in the listing and there doesn't appear to be proof of maker unfortunately:

Is it heavy?
Also is the rim firepolished or cut flat and polished?

Hopefully someone with some knowledge will be able to help you more than me :)  Lovely piece!

Hi,
Thanks for your reply.
I think this is very helpful.
I have now added an extra photo, so that the surface of the vase is more visible.
Thanks again for your reply, I can now search further and hope to find some more info.
Yours sincerely,
Eds

Hi again

I came across this vase today which also has a mix of polished cut and battuto cut section on it.
I'm definitely not suggesting your vase is by Moser - things against in my view are possibly the base finish and also not marked, however I thought I'd add this as perhaps another avenue to explore:
