Title: Isle of Wight "Lollipop vase"
Post by: essi on September 29, 2021, 06:55:58 PM
Could someone help me fill in some details on this vase.
First of all what colourway is the vase ?
Any idea on the year of manufacture and for how many years it was made.
It is 155mm tall (approx 6")
The top rim of the neck seems to be rounded of by flame.
Sorry about the photos.
Any help appreciated.
Tim

These lollipops along with the swirling paperweights do not correspond with the ranges made at the same time. The flame mark was in use from 1974 to around 1978 but there are exceptions as late as 1980 and I believe that would mostly be Tortoiseshell items.

Thanks for that John, i did have a search on the net for the info but could not find definitive answers.
I don't own the Mark Hill book about Michael Harris. Should have bought it when it came out.

The uneven heat finished rim is perfectly correct. :)
