Title: Schweig and Muller Figurine ?
Post by: NevB on October 14, 2021, 05:24:26 PM
This is a 14cm. centrepiece figurine in uranium glass of a young girl holding her skirt in front of her. Pamela has this on row 19 of her unknown section.

I think it is probably by Schweig and Muller as it resembles identified pieces by them, in particular the base which is designed to fit into a separate flower frog.

Apparently the figure is based on a tale by the Brothers Grimm called "Die Sterntaler" about an orphan girl who catches falling stars (Stern) in her outstretched shift which then turn into silver coins (Taler). Much nicer than "windy wendy".

Thanks for adding that Nev, wasn't aware of the background behind this figure, interesting to know.
