Hello, I have this goblet form vase (presuming its a vase a large size). It has a nice confetti glass bubble in the bowl and a hollow spread foot with is signed MB (RG6?) 1097. I thought the design looked very Michael Bang for Holmegaard but I don't know what the unidentified mark is. Any help identifying this will be gratefully appreciated :)

Hi,yes Michael Bang for Holmegaard, not sure about the 1097{could be the model number}but the RG6 is actually HG6 and denotes it was made in 1976.

Hi Paul,
That’s wonderful, I’m very grateful to you 🙏
Many thanks,
Robert :)

If you look up www.hardernet.dk and consult Michale Bang drinkware you should be able to find out more.

Wonderful resource, many thanks

A four digit number usually denotes an 'unika' piece that was sold at exhibition, rather than a standard production piece sold through a shop. They were typically made in much smaller runs (although sometimes entered full production later).

Thanks for that little tid-bit Pinkspoons - another tiny wrinkle to what I know.
