Hi everyone
Initially I had thought this had a Victorian look about it, but I discounted this and now think it's much more modern. I've put possibly Japanese in the subject header because this kind of red going into orange colour is something I associate with Japanese glass, especially when combined with clear. However I've not seen this style of optic glass from there.
Two distinctive things that might help towards an ID are firstly the rim is slightly pinched. It's not pronounced enough to call it a spout, but seems deliberate enough to be intended as a pouring vessel of some sort...? Secondly there is a flower design impressed on the base.
I'll post the photos separately as I'm having difficulties uploading.
Thanks Geraint.

Empoli?
I saw this sell recently, and I believe the moulded flower base is found on Empoli vases - often optic ribbed.

Empoli would make a lot of sense.
Thanks Sue. :)

If I hadn't seen the one I showed you, I wouldn't have known. I trust the seller's attributions.
I hadn't seen Empoli in more than one colour in the actual body of a piece. Stems on large goblets, or prunts added can be different, but I thought this was unusual.
The very small lip on your vase is also rather "Empoli". :)

Secondly there is a flower design impressed on the base.
Hi, can’t help with the attribution but I believe the flower shape on the bottom is just an artefact of the optic moulding that was done before shaping the vase. The flower should have the same number of petals as the vase has ribs.

;D Brilliant! I hadn't thought of that, but it makes so much sense.
(I'm now madly looking around the room where I knew I had one once, because I want to count ribs and petals, but it's not here. >:( :'( )

;D I noticed it on a dimpled bowl, it was more obvious what it was.
