Title: Scottish millefiori Paperweight ID help required - Strathearn..?
Post by: Greg. on November 12, 2021, 03:51:27 PM
Hi,

Any thoughts on this Scottish millefiori glass paperweight would be much appreciated. The canes are set above a light green/pastel coloured ground.

Measures approx 7cm in diameter and 6cm tall. The weight has been repolished.

Many thanks,
Greg

Hi Greg
A nicely set up weight but it does not have the crispness of Perthshire so I would agree with you -  Strathearn

Hi Dave,

Thanks for your help, much appreciated. Certainly tidier than some Strathearn weights I have encountered!

Thanks,
Greg

I thought that Strathearn did not use colored twists, only white ones.  Or is this an exception.  Also the canes appear to stand above the ground, an indication of Vasart.

Any comments?
