Hi all,
does anyone have an idea about this glass red vase with bubble in the middle? It's coated with a thin white glass layer inside. Height is 36 cm, outside diameter top 6 cm. It has some similarity with vases by Tamara Aladin for Riihimaen Lasi, type 1562. Any help is welcome.
Thanks,
Mario

These style vases were produced in Italy ( Empoli), Japan and Germany, as well as Scandinavia ( although definitely not Riihimaki).

I can not recall a Finnish maker who lihed with white glass. I understand the bubble shape leading you towards Finnish - but from memory they were also made by Aseda - although again I can't recall a white lining.

I can't find anything similar to the one I had to show you as evidence, but mine was yellow with a thin white casing inside, same shape as yours but mine was just a cylinder and didn't have the nice bubble waist yours has, but it was made in Taiwan iirc. However it wasn't 36cm, was only about 16cm or similar.
