Title: FM Ronneby Sweden glass paperweight
Post by: elderwand on December 19, 2021, 05:52:19 PM
Hi everyone!

This is my first topic in the forum. I hope this is the right place to post this message.

I would like to get some help to identify my glass paperweights. I can see the sign on the bottom "FM Ronneby Sweden M454" (See the attached images). I would appreciate some guidance about its rarity, its value, and which would be the right place to sell it.

Thanks in advance!

Hi and welcome to the board,
I'm not sure what you need identified, all the information is on the base and the label on the side.

It's not at all rare I'm afraid and is more a decorative item than a collectors piece.

We don't give valuations on the board but a search of ebay will bring up lots of similar weights by the same maker. But look at the sold items for a truer range of it's worth not current listings of what price is being asked, many sellers have an over inflated idea of value and will never sell at what they are asking.

FM - Fare Marcolin.  Made by the Marcolin Brothers in Ronneby, Sweden.  Originally trained in Murano they made lots using a Fumato technique - see my Madonna & Child Photo.  Later in life the moved back to create Sardinia Crystal.
