Title: Large two one cylinder vase with bubble in the base????
Post by: LEGSY on January 11, 2022, 04:22:43 PM
I thought this maybe a TkMAX Piece but needed to check as i was not sure it has a thin maybe
a slightly cheaper feel to the glass, It is also slightly hammered OR textured? on closer inspection
the base has a small air bubble base has a  pontil scar. Stands 15 3/4" tall Maybe a Scandinavian
influence but think it might be modern Chinese??? Thanks for looking

I had one of these a year or two ago, they are nice but sorry no idea where they are from. Would agree with relatively modern but it did not give me the immediate impression of Chinese made.

The shape of the base is from the mould, an item like this that is to have a cut rim is not worked using a pontil rod.

Thank you John,
Your correct it's a whopper quite an work-a-day item i feel
but quite a nice decorative home display piece i am always
buying things that i don't really rate highly when i can't find
something i really want and always find them a new home :)
All the best Dan
