I recently thrifted this Venini decanter. I have been able to find similarly shaped bottles online, but none that have a smooth finish like this one. Is this bottle authentic or is it a forged? It about 11 inches tall and 4 inches wide. While it does have an acid stamp that dates it to the 50's or 60's, I know they can be faked; I am not well rehearsed in spotting the differences. Any input would be appreciated!!

I think it is interesting - certainly Venini would have been capable of making such an Item. Personally I would be happy to own it - love the colour for example. But the thing that immediately strikes me as strange is the way the base is finished. It is obviously clear coated, and typically that would mean the cracking off of the item would leave a substantial clear section at the base. That would then be ground flat, champfered and polished. This has not happened here and I find the sunken base a puzzle.
A further puzzle is the etched mark. I seem to have seen Venini Murano quite often but I don't recall the Italia but in looking at Google Images it shows occasionally. https://www.collectorsquare.com/en/art-&-collectables/venini/venini-two-bottles-of-the-velati-series-in-murano-glass-signed-and-dated-from-1989-372885.html - has a very similar green bottle that may be of interst Seems there was a Velati series that your might be part of.

Lovely piece.
The same design is shown in the Paolo Venini book, but in Inciso technique.
Pattern number 4587, from 1956-57.
The one shown in the book has the same 3-line acid stamp; I think that mark is usual for Venini production from that period.
