This is the only "VR" beer glass in my collection, a half pint one, which I've had for some time but only just noticed it has a Sowerby Peacock mark. It has the VR crown mark used between 1879-1901, the 323 office mark for Gateshead and GCC for Gateshead County Council, formerly a County Borough. I can't find an exact match for the shape and handle combination but it is similar to the No.1586 shown in the 1885 catalogue under "Cans and Seidels". I've also added a photo of an Edwardian pint glass also with a Gateshead stamp.

Mine's a pint. Sowerby pint glass with VR, 232 and peacock trade marks. Very heavy when full. Thousands of these must have been made but they are difficult to find now.

Nice one Mike, mine came from a boot sale about 20 years ago and it's the only VR one I've seen although I'm always hopeful. I've got over 40 various GR and early ERII ones but they are getting rarer now.
