Title: Green Vase, need identification
Post by: rainbowmushr00m on April 28, 2022, 06:57:58 PM
I got this vase at an antique store in Texas and have since posted it to several fb groups and reddit asking for ID, and it has everybody stumped. It's a very nice vase and I'm excited to find out any information about it. Thank you!

It is a nice vase and an unusual shape but I can't remember seeing one like it in numerous past searches. The yellow colour under UV reminds me of some German glass pieces, particularly by Walther and Sons, but it's not in their catalogues.

It's so strange! Maybe I have a one of a kind or rare piece here? I just started collecting and I'm not a reseller, so regardless this is a very cool piece to me. :)

It would be nice if it was a one-off piece but it's very unlikely. The moulds for making pressed glass were very expensive so would be used to the maximum to cover the cost, although it could be that not many vases like yours were sold. I've had a look at some other catalogues but found nothing, often these things turn up when you are researching something else. Meanwhile enjoy it  ;D
