Title: Huge Uranium Green Lady
Post by: pamela on May 24, 2022, 07:09:00 PM
A collecting friend bought this mould-pressed figurine from Czech Republic.

It is nearly 35 cms in height, diametre of base is 10 cms. Any ideas what kind of bowl or else it would sit in? Have you seen 'her sisters'?  ;D

Please, can somebody assist us to determine a possible manufacturer?

Thank you very much for looking!

I see you have put her with a figurine which is usually attributed to Schweig and Müller and they would be my guess for her too.

Thank you, NevB!

That possible-Schweig-Müller-figurine was just for comparison of size - here's another photo showing her aside the Brockwitz-Lady including frog...

The second photo shows a group of three amber figurines which are all similar in the making of that huge green one. In my opinion these were made much later than 1930s, probably even 1960s

Regarding the considerable stress crack the green lady suffered, my friend is wondering whether perhaps it sat on a lamp-base with a too strong and hot bulb.

Anyhow, there must have been more of these around, and we loved to hear further opinions - thank you!
